KUNGSTRÄDGÅRDEN

6. Lessertia Dentichelis

By the archeological excavation site.

Welcome to the home of the two-millimeter-tiny Lessertia Dentichelis! The spider was discovered by accident in 1980 by a biologist and spider researcher who got off at the station. Usually, this spider lives in caves, mines and catacombs outside the Scandinavian peninsula, but now it also exists also within the Stockholm metro (it has also been found at a couple other stations). It feels at home around untouched granite and trickling water. Perhaps it came here with the machines that were used to build the station.
